I will tell you about my wife’s UFO encounter because it is the sort of close up encounter that few people experience.
Over 30 years ago, my wife and I decided to buy a 200 acre farm in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, in the South of France, not to farm but because it was such a beautiful place.
It was an isolated place and had actually been empty for a number of years.
The local village was about 5 miles away. Between us and the village and, indeed for miles all around were just green fields and forests.
After a couple of weeks, my wife, who is French, started to go to an amateur dramatic class, in the village, that did acting things. It was just once a week. The classes took place in the evening.
I would stay home and watch TV.
One night, about 11 pm, she was coming home from this theatrical class. She approached our farm on a gravel road leading up from the village.
As she got to the entrance of our land, she turned off this gravel road in her vehicle.
As she swung round, the headlights of her vehicle shone on a UFO that was parked on our land about a hundred yards from where she was. It would also have been about 150 yards from our house.
She turned her vehicle into the little road that lead to our house and drove down until she was opposite this UFO.
At this point she was only a few yards from the UFO on her left side.
She stopped the vehicle and looked at the UFO.
She said that the UFO looked like a typical flying saucer, about 50 yards across – quite large.
She sat and watched it for a couple of minutes, amazed, because it is not the sort of thing that one sees every day!
As she watched it, she was suddenly aware of a faint noise. She described it as the sort of noise one hears from a large truck on a freeway: the deep rumble from the engine mixed with the high pitched sound from the tyres.
Then it slowly lifted off the earth – grass actually – turned on it’s side to an angle of about 45 degrees then suddenly shot into the sky and was gone.
She continued down the road to our house and told me the story.
There was no missing time as far as I am aware but she was very lucky.
I assume that this UFO was there picking up grass and plant samples to study the DNA because there was nothing else in that place.
That is the story of my wife’s encounter with a UFO.
