I can tell you that when a body is drugged, it applies only to the body and not the spirit. So, from the moment anyone dies, they are immediately fully awake, even if somewhat confused.
Now, I must also say that, after a long and traumatic illness, the emotional body of the person can be and is affected, and that plays a role in further confusing the person.
So, it may well be that when someone dies and leaves their body that they would not be fully in command of their faculties and could be placed in the hospital areas in heaven that I have mentioned before.
Usually, people are put in a kind of sleep until they are “cured”. This is to avoid further trauma. They would be woken up when they are OK again.
Now, regarding being in contact with loved ones in heaven, the Great White Brotherhood told me that, usually, if a connection is allowed between someone incarnate and those in spirit it causes more harm than good.
I don’t know if you but in one of the Harry Potter books or films when Harry discovers the mirror of Erised and spends hours in front of it talking to his parents. Well, it is the same idea. They have their life to lead and we have ours.
It is not good to waste ones life in such activities.
Also we all must realize that, in order to be able to speak to our loved ones, both they and you would have to have learned telepathy.
When people are really “dead”, it seems that a different sort of telepathy takes over and we can communicate, but for anyone to speak to loved ones might be a little more difficult.
Even if you have mastered telepathy, unless your loved one does, a meeting would be difficult
However, it still surprises me somewhat that, although people are in heaven, at the level that they are at, life is not much different from down here.
But, when I think about it, they told us that, as one changes dimensions, at first the dimensions are close. It is only as one progresses through the dimensions that they become very different from ours.
So, Summerland and the hospital areas, etc., would not be very different from what we see down here.
When I first experienced all this, I had no idea about any of it so it was all a bit surprising to me but I don’t remember being really excited about it.
It was wonderful, new, unexpected and I remember wandering about with at least one guide showing me stuff, but I did not feel in awe about it all. Just curiosity, etc.
It all seemed fairly natural, obvious and normal to me.
Obviously, I was very grateful for the visits but I was not like a kid visiting a Harry Potter exhibition.
I just remember being interested and grateful a bit like visiting a well laid out park.
