Regarding our memories being wiped before incarnating, I think that I may have partially answered my own question when I read through the chapter again, perhaps with a bit of speculation as well.
The reason we cannot remember everything that happened before we incarnated is because of this abridged Akashic Record the GWB just wrote about in the chapter… I missed that part the first time I read through the chapter because I was quite distracted by the concept that all is created and destroyed, there is no continuation on from the last creation – all is recreated and destroyed… well, of course the last bit of the chapter is about this abbreviated individual part of the Akashic Record, that is just specific to us.
So, with that in mind, my idea is that when we incarnated, our link to the Akashic Record, or a different abridged Akashic Record, was available to us, our link was rerouted or disconnected and when the time was ripe, after we were born, we were connected to this new abridged Akashic Record and we started from scratch with our memories. It wasn’t so much that our memories were wiped, as was written in the Path of Mankind I believe, it was that the link was disconnected and then routed to a brand new – blank – abridged Akashic Record and we started from scratch, so to speak, so, we were not able to link back to our previous memories and so have no idea who we are, where we came from or where we are going.

I think that your analysis is correct.
However, I have only got a few pages of the next chapter so far and, as is often the case, when the GWB start a new chapter, they take several pages describing other, only distantly related matters to the actual subject, before getting to the heart of the chapter.
I think that they do this in order to give us stuff to mull over.
So, the point I am making is that I really do not yet know how they are going to link our life in heaven before incarnating to life in incarnation.
I know that the subject of the new chapter is to teach us how to link our incarnation to life in the 4th before, during and after incarnation but how they intend to do this I don’t yet know.
