Mind/Brain | Ego | Higher Self

Since you were a tiny child, your parents, unless they were enlightened, would have taken you down the road of just using the mind/brain. Then school took over and, finally, life experience completed the idea.

So, your higher self, being the perfect lady/gentleman, waited for the moment when you were ready for something else.
Now, there is a part of us that I can never remember the name of. It is the person in the mirror. The person that looks out through our eyes.
It might be the “ID”, or it might have another name.
I know that it is talked about in the book we put online.
Anyway, there is this other part that, up until a certain point, in your life, accepted that all there was to life was what you had experienced.
However, the moment that this “ID” wakes up and feels that there is more to life than what the mind/brain has presented so far, the higher self gently starts to push itself into our ID.

Once this starts, battle commences.
The mind/brain, which is closely connected to the ego – the fight/flight part of us, resists like crazy. It does not want to lose its stranglehold over you which it has maintained since your birth.
But you – this ID – also starts to question why the mind/brain should be in charge.
So, you start to investigate alternative realities and that is where things like the Great White Brotherhood and spiritual teachers come into the picture.
Spiritual teachings help your higher self push itself forward and push the ego driven mind/brain out. You can’t have both of them running your life. It must be, eventually, one or the other.

This, as you can imagine, creates great turmoil. The mind/brain is saying to you, “Don’t listen to this crap. It is obvious that, if you can’t understand and rationalise things from an intellectual standpoint, it is BS.”
But your higher mind is saying to you, “Be still and know that I AM.”

Gradually, the pigeonholes that I have mentioned before will be created in your ID mind, and then you can accept more and more the concepts that your higher self and other sources, are presenting to you.

So, this is the point that you are at this moment.
Your ego driven mind/brain is resisting all it can and your higher mind is quietly presenting other stuff.
So, your ID is caught up in the middle of this battle.
Some people give up and let the mind/brain win and peace is restored to the ego, while other people battle on until most of the ego is chased out, the mind/brain forced to do the job that it was created for and the higher self guides the ID. Then, once again, peace is restored.

However, this time of turmoil can be very upsetting.
In my case, I had a nervous breakdown that lasted a month until peace came to me.
So be careful with this battle.

Do not hesitate, if you start to feel overwhelmed, to let it all drop until you feel OK again.
Your guides, your higher self will understand.
I still do it from time to time when things come on top.

The problem is that we will never entirely chase our ego away. We need it to help us cope with material life. If all the ego went, we would be very vulnerable.
So, part of the ego always remains and it never gives up trying to tell you to let it take charge again.

So, I have written quite a lot just to tell you that it is your mind/brain that battles and your higher mind that also pushes with poor you, piggy in the middle!
