I once asked one of my guides, from whom I had not heard in a while, what he had been doing and he smiled at me and said, ‘Tempering the soul on the anvil of service.’
I thought that was good.
Because we are all one, if we want others to improve, we need to help them all we can.
This demonstrates that we are good, caring people and, at the same time, helps others to improve through our example.
So, collectively we all rise.
Another of my guides explained life like this. As we are all connected and are, in reality, just one person, if we imagine a style in a fence – you may know what a style looks like, a sort of set of steps to help us over a fence – until the last person passes over the stile, none of us can pass.
What he meant was that, because we are all one, until the last person reaches perfection, none of us can reach perfection. This is why the Great White Brotherhood exists, to help the least of us to arrive at perfection.
Then we can all sit back and rejoice.

Using the term “rent” to describe the following from the poem is confusing to me because of my understanding of the word rent:
“We worked, we cursed, we tried, and yes, we failed to put ourselves in order that we might have rent the veil between this life and the next,”
What is it that they are saying with the word rent?
Another question, is the second poem (The Way Forward And The Way Back) written from the perspective of the GWB’s lives? It kind of reads either way in some sentences, meaning, am I to read it thinking about my life only, or in the GWB’s life, or both?

You surprised me not understanding the meaning of the word “rent”.
So, I went on Google to check it out and all they talked about was paying money to someone for hiring a building or apartment. So, I understand your confusion.
The original meaning of the word “rent” means to tear, to rip a hole in something.
So, what they are talking about is their failure to go beyond the 3D world in which they lived, just as we are, into the higher world where they now find themselves.
To tear a hole in the veil between our holographic reality and the real world that lies just beyond our sight, the world of truth that you and I are trying to find.
They failed to pierce a hole in that veil so they lived, just as we do, in this world of illusion when, had they followed the spiritual path, they would have been able to tear a hole in this illusion and reveal the beauty and wonder of the real world.
That is why they have come back and talk to people like me so that I can talk to people like you and we can all rent a hole in the veil between illusion and truth.
The whole poem is them talking about themselves, how they lived lives of illusion and, once they had ascended to heaven and could see the truth, they decided to return close to the Earth, talk to people like me and explain how life really works.
But they are talking about themselves, their experiences.
Of course, it also applies to people like us that are trying to pierce the veil of illusion to get to the truth.
They, the GWB, are doing all they can to help, then it is up to us to do the rest and make the jump through the veil into the real world.

They do speak English to me but, at the same time, I receive, feelings, impressions from them.
It is not just words like someone giving a lecture. It is much more than that.
Can you remember when you were a child and someone would read you a fairy tale? You listened to the voice but, at the same time, you were enchanted by the story being told to you and you could visualise the events taking place.
Well, it is a bit like that. I hear a voice in my head but, at the same time they are projecting the emotions that go with what they are saying.
I have heard of aliens talking to people and they do much the same thing.
On the contrary, if it is just your mind talking to you, as happens with so many “channelers”,
It will be just words.
